Under The patronage of HRH Princess Muna al Hussein

Petra opera Nights, the first edition of this initiative lead and founded by AOF, the first Opera festival in the Arab world, will commence on the 24th of October 2025 with the first Opera Parade featuring original music composed for the Opera Petra, also the first Jordanian Opera celebrating World Opera Day.

On World Opera Day, the 25th of October 2025, in front of the treasury, Petra will witness an Opera Gala accompanied by international Opera singers and an international orchestra featuring various operas from Carmen, Tosca, Turandot, La Traviata and more.

Dress Code: Red Carpet – wear comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to make your way to the Petra Treasury!

Opera Program

Expect to walk and enjoy the music from the gathering point that you will be directed to upon arrival with a map.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for the walk alongside camels and horses, a hat and a bottle of water.


*Please arrive at the gathering point 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the parade.
19:00 - 21:00

The show will start on time. Please arrive on site 30 minutes prior to the show to be seated accordingly.


*Dress code is Red Carpet and make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
